02 Nov 10 - 06:59 PM (#3022068) Subject: RE: BS: George Carlin's Amazing Mind From: Bill D WAS clever... he died several years ago....it's a very old routine here, and many of us laughed ourselves silly as Carlin forced the issue of 'naughty words' into the mainstream. He was a brilliant comedian and a very humble guy who delighted in poking fun at society's foibles. |

Puts to shame the comedians of today - I don't often laugh at their routines, am more than likely to change the channel. Thanks Lizzie. |

I love his routines so much. I've just finished listening to this one.. George on Saving The Planet |

That brilliant mind was probably *always* 120 steps of his teachers...and I bet he wriggled and jiggled and got bored out of his mind having to sit there doing 'stuff'... I wonder how many routines he worked out whilst he was at school... And yes, a Stand-Up Philosopher describes George, and Lenny and Richard, perfectly! 'Stuff' And this is my favourite, because of the absolute truth inside it...which so many are now starting to realise was FAR from a comedy routine! This is the best thing I've ever seen! And it sums up so much of how I feel, so much of what I see around me, whilst so many don't see it at all.... Pass this one around to as many folks as you can... Even the seven words you can't say on TV, shows that this world is insane. Check out David Icke . http://www.davidicke.com/index.php/ Also some of his videos on YouTube. The ones from Melbourne are great. The Love Police is pretty good too. http://www.facebook.com/TheLovePolice http://www.cveitch.org/wordpress/ |

He got very down, very upset about how they treated him...poor Charlie...but I think he's keeping the show on the road.. I'm so behind so much of what George Carlin says...He spoke my language, and it's great that we still have his videos.. Mort Saul, Ron? Gonna check him out now.. |

He did lots of political comedy but really didn't blaze many new trails as Lenny did. The guy was funny though and I liked him, just not quite in the same league..........had a great delivery at times. Spaw |
