Tune Add: Comin Around the Mt(raunchy)

Subject: Lyr Add: SHE'LL BE COMING... (raunchy version)
From: crooner

Since so many fine people have helped me since i discovered this site a few weeks ago, I would like to donate a version of Comin' around the Mountain. It was written by someone who thinks about sex quite a lot, and seems to like it:

She'll be comin' around the mountain when she comes (She'll be comin' around the mountain)

She'll be movin' and a groovin' when she comes (and my love she'll be behoovin')

She'll be realin' and a squealin' when she comes (she'll be feelin' what i'm dealin')

We'll be rockin' and a rollin' when we come (we'll be pushin' and a pullin')

We'll behissin' and a kissin' when we come (we'll be followin' our blissin')

We'll be pettin' and a pawin' when we come (we'll be oohin' and a aahin')

We'll be wooin' and a cooin' when we come (we'll be mindin' what we're doin')

We'll be heavin' and a sighin' when we come (and believin' that we're dyin')

We'll be humpin' and a pumpin' when we come (we'll be thinkin' "ain't that sumpin?")

There is a general principle of traditional song that all 'kids' songs have a polite and a very rude version. Here is a fine example of the tradition in action.

But what of the six white horses? the chicken and dumplings?

From: Philippa

The raunchy verses I knew before I opened this thread were:
Everybody asks her, did she come (3X)/They wouldn't have to mention if they only paid attention/Everybody asks her, did she come

She's got a lovely titillating smile...a lovely titti, a lovely titti, a lovely titillating smile

She's got a lovely bottom set of teeth(3x)/a lovely bottom, a lovely bottom/a lovely bottom set of teeth

and of course there's the 'you canna shove your granny off a bus' verses, already subject of a Mudcat thread.

Philippa, thanks for the other bawdy verses, of which I was unaware. I wrote these lines in about 15 minutes; the song just seemed to ask for them.

Bert, thanks for your appreciation.

Barbara, they say you're as young as you feel; I guess that makes me awful young...I'm lookin' forward to that drink (I'll be right back)

Does anyone know what the song was about to begin with? I mean, how do you ride six white horses? Since I was about 5, I thought she stood on top of all the saddles like a circus performer. I don't know all the lyrics actually, but I reckon it don't tell no story, but is rather just a bunch of one-liners...or what?

Well, that don't mean that we can't just pick on that song, if you know what I mean...

Well, I learned it "She'll be driving six white horses..." and I saw in my mind's eye that she was a showwoman, someone who knew she was special, and really knew how to play that up. I saw her driving a carraige or maybe a wagon pulled by three teams of white horses, standing up with the whip in her hand and circling the mountain as she approached the ranch/settlement near the the top. She had on a red and white fringed cowboy shirt , and black levis, and a white stetson with her blond hair blowing out behind.. maybe it was a red kerchief tied around her neck. How's that for a childhood picture of something that wasn't in the song?
Blessings,
Barbara

I like it, Barbara.

Just curious; if it's 10:58 at night in California, and your guyses clocks say it's 1:58, I suppose that means you're up at that hour, on the east coast, and that we're all connected like this. I like that.

Well, crooner, when it's 10:58 in Oregon, my home, it's the same in California; but DT's computers live on the east coast, so they're 3 hours later.
If I get back in time tonight, I'll buy you that drink at the Mudcat Tavern, that is to say if the smoothie pit wrestlers haven't rendered the place unrecognizable.
Blessings,
Barbara
