BS: Environmentally conscious / pro-active

I just took the global warming problem to heart on a personl level.

I was outside putting the last surviving potted plants in the garage as it will be cold again tonight. As I was headed back to the warmth of my hovel, I felt the urge of nature. I stopped and got ready... BUT... I thought about Al Gore, the ice caps, the greenhouse gases... the CHILDREN!!! Our future.

So, I stifled myself and made it quickly into the house, slammed the door and farted, knowing that the warmth of that fart would reduce the draw of electricity from the grid to heat my house and help to save all mankind.

Yer welcome. That fart was for you... and your children.

I flushed the toilet 2x for no reason thereby cancelling your generous gift.

Should have lit it. That blast of heat would make the house even warmer!

Should have lit it.

And turning the methane into CO2 would have been a gift to the future as well.

You don't understand. This was a Spaw fart. If I had lit it, there could have been serious repercussions. Percussions being my fear... I am just getting over hammerhead surgery. Last thing I need is anything like that. I mean, I like children and all, and the future of the planet, but there is only so flatulent I am willing to go.

No, don't light it. That would only waste the match (or butane fuel, if you use a lighter). Left to themselves, the methane and other organic compounds will oxidize slowly, releasing the same amount of energy regardless.

Such a sacrifice, gnu. The world thanks you.

I have connections in Sweden. I'll see to it that the Nobel people hear about this.
