A good variety of trad folk and more contemporary stuff. Several good tune sets and some old "standards" at the end that had the whole place playing and singing along. Roy eventually prized us out of the bar at 11.55. He pretended to be annoyed at us keeping him up, but you could tell he was pleased with the evening. A bloke who'd been passing, heard the music and came in to see what was happening piped up at the end and said it was the best evening he'd had in years! What with last month's dancing in the centre of the room and this month's fantastic atmosphere, this session is turning into one of the highlights of my month. Loved it. |
