WESSEX ACOUSTIC – CANCELLATION

Unfortunately Pete Coe is snowed in at home and will not be coming on Friday 3rd Dec.
John has tried to get a worthy replacement but can't find anyone suitable available at short notice.
So, with regret, we are cancelling Friday's concert.
Our next guest night is January 14th with Ric Sanders and Vo Fletcher.
They were our guests two years ago and gave us a stunning night's entertainment enjoyed by all at the Farquaharson Arms.

Stay warm and stay safe in this bad weather.

Kathy Dunn

A message from d'management, ?? Well, a copy of an email Sooz sent to me at least:

We have taken the unprecedented step of cancelling the club this week (3rd Dec) due to the dreadful driving conditions in this neck of the woods. There is no sign of a let-up in the weather and we don't want to think of anyone being brave and getting stuck (or worse!).

Our next meeting is on 17th December when our guest will be Lucy Ward.

VIN ON / WIZZ OFF

Tonight's concert at the Early Music Centre with VIN GARBUTT is going ahead despite the weather. Vin has arrived safely at the venue and is sound-checking round about now.

On the other hand the club performance by WIZZ JONES tomorrow night is CANCELLED due to the weather conditions. We will reschedule a date for Wizz in due course, for sometime in the second half of 2011.

Instead, we will gather at the Black Swan tomorrow night for a free and informal Singers Night session, so any singers, players and poets out there who can make it down will be more than welcome.

Hopefully we can get back to business as usual next week!

POSTPONEMENT OF THE REG MEUROSS GIG ON 3 DECEMBER 2010
RAM FOLK CLUB Old Cranleighan Club in Thames Ditton

Alas and alack, the snowy elements have conspired against us this week and, with huge regret and reluctance, we are forced at this short notice to postpone Reg Meuross's gig this Friday 3 December. To most checking the website and the continuing weather reports, this will seem only sensible, no surprise and the safest course for all concerned. But we are sorry nevertheless and will be aiming, of course, to rearrange the earliest possible a new date for Reg.

Looking at the weather, I guess we'd better cancel Wendesday's trad music class at Horsmonden. Music may be important, but there's no benefit in risking lives!

We're still hopeful of going ahead with the regular Frittenden session on the 29th December - but crossing our fingers.
