"999, Did you stop to think that Jeri probably stands behind you more than a lot of other folks?" Shhhh, Dean. Don't want him to figure out where all those "kick me" signs are coming from. I'm not even as old as 999, so I'm not feeling insulted. And as for Kendall, when the Lord said "Let there be light," he threw the switch. |

Kat, any beads you don't want, I'll be happy to have. If anyone's thinking of becoming a horder, beads are the way to go. They take up way less space than clothes or figurines, eat less than cats, and you can make jewelry out of them. Mostly letting "those guys have it" will involve a big hug. Y'all are sweet. |

04 Dec 10 - 09:56 PM (#3046620) Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday, Jeri From: Jeri Janie, it was great to be back at the Getaway. Just like coming home! Beer, I'd love some of those water buffalo sandals, but beading a whole dress would take an attention span. I'm lucky if I can actually finish a project that takes longer than an hour, and if I do, it's usually something for someone else. Good day. I spent some time with Bat Goddess & Curmudgeon's cats, hung out at the bead store (and got to talk with some actual people) and ate macaroni and cheese and carrot cake. The bead store was great, because they talked about upcoming classes and I got to look at some gorgeous, inspirational jewelry. (I can't spend $200 on a bracelet, but I can figure out how to make one.) Yes, it sounds fairly boring and I would have liked to be around friends, but I have good friends. Some in Canada or places that aren't here, and some going through a productive, if exhausting process of regaining a voice. I'm happy. Thank you all. |

05 Dec 10 - 11:02 AM (#3046860) Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday, Jeri From: GUEST,999 This gal has some dynamite talent. She took the picture that will be the cover of the CD I`m working on now. IMO, she`s a great ol--gal, and truthfully neither Mandy nor I see enough of her. As a free thought, I`d advise ya never to piss her off. She`s too damned smart to argue with. I will also note that she has a laisse faire attitude with stop signs, but that`s another story. When you get to our place, I have an idea to run--- nope here`s the idea. Come May when `Sometimes I Wonder Why the World` is released, I`d like to do then do a CD entitled, `A CD for Men Who Think Women Can`t Write.` I want the new song you`re doing--really. It`s great. Please make sure you have it done when you get here in January. That way we can work on it together--and knowing you, argue a bit--me being the epitome of calm and peacefulness, and you being the foil. Love ya, gal. BM |

05 Dec 10 - 11:14 AM (#3046866) Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday, Jeri From: Jeri You're lucky I have a laisse faire attitude when it comes to passenger seat drivers. Gotta get a brake pedal installed on that side. Plus, it helps that I'm not familiar enough with your area to know where all the good body-hiding spots are. Love to work with you on the song. Got a last stanza, but it's more of a better-than-nothing thing. That AND the tune can easily change, as well as anything else that can work better another way. |

05 Dec 10 - 07:57 PM (#3047160) Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday, Jeri From: Bill D Jeri... would any of these programs be useful in making midis? I point at Massiva in particular. I have great stuff to play them, but never tried making one. |
|
05 Dec 10 - 08:05 PM (#3047165) Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday, Jeri From: Jeri I used to use Cakewalk. It was great, because I could enter notes on a bar, and it would make the sound of the note when I clicked to insert the note. I could play back bits of it or the whole thing. Then Cakewalk got "upgraded" to the point where it seemed to be only for recording music and not sequencing MIDIs. Perhaps there's a simple solution, but I haven't found it. I'll look closer at the programs Bill, but on first glance, they don't seem to be about writing music that I can play as a MIDI. Thanks for the suggestions. |
