The Borderline Folk Music Club of Rockland County, NY will kick off its 2011 season on Sunday afternoon, January 16th at 2 PM. Our featured performer will be singer/songwriter LORETTA HAGEN from West Milford, NJ. She will be accompanied by her husband, Gary Hagen on guitar and Sara Gallman on harmony vocals. Loretta Hagen is a rising star in the world of folk music. Her poingant songs about everyday life tug on the heart strings. She has a rich alto voice.
Loretta is on the board of directors of the National Alzheimer's Association in their quest for the cure. Her song, "Sundown Till Dawn" (about her 90 year old mother with Alzheimer's) is featured on the soundtrack of the newly released film "Ten Mountains, Ten Years". You can hear her music at her website, www.lorettahagen.com The admission for this concert is $20 per person ($15 for Borderline members) and we ask that you bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 other people. There will be a song circle and jam immediately following the concert. The next day, Monday is a holiday (MLK) so we are not in a hurry to get up early for work, Come for the concert and stay for the song circle. Bring your instruments and voices.
