15 Dec 10 - 09:08 PM (#3054434) Subject: Apollonio mandola for charity From: Dan Schatz Nick Apollonio has a new, very unusual, instrument posted on Ebay. It's a guitar shaped mandola. He originally built this as a child sized guitar, and has recently put a lot of work into it and refitted it as a mandola. It's worth checking out the listing just to read the story of how he came to create it. Nick is starting the bidding at a ridiculously low amount, with no reserve, and has said that anything he gets for it over $350 will go to the charity of the winner's choice. This looks like a really amazing, unique instrument, and I think it's incredibly generous of Nick to donate some of the proceeds to charity. Dan |
