Sara is one of the greatest exponents of American old-time songs & tunes, with a sweet, powerful voice & 5-string frailing banjo. She has a deep knowledge & understanding of US traditional music. She has toured throughout Europe, Australia & the USA, often performing with her son Kieron Means & the fiddler Ben Paley. She's also a spellbinding storyteller.

The workshop will focus on bringing songs to life & how to use the banjo for accompaniment. It's for intermediate to advanced players. Lyrics will be sent in advance & songs will be taught by ear. Participants are encouraged to bring a recording device.

IN THE EVENING SARA GREY PERFORMS AT THE CROWN INN (£7)
