If I ever use my cell again, I will use Rogers. On accounta, when Bell bought Aliant (Atlantic Canada phone company), they changed the rules on topping up a pay as you gor account... addition of funds was cut to 90 days instead of 120 and no land line notice of the expiry AND $50 to "reconnect".

Plus they fired a lot of Canucks (a few catters I know) and moved their jobs to SOME other country that I get calls from asking me if I wanna get fucked again.

The reason I asked is that I have a $15 top-up chit that I will not use and I thought you might be able to use it.

When my brother died a few years back the bastards at Bell sent the bill to me. He owed about $220.

I wrote back to Bell and said, in almost exactly these words--`I am my brother`s keeper, but, I am not his executor. Kindly go fuck yourselves.` Never heard back from them. I agree--it couldn`t have happened to a more deserving business.

BTW... do you guys have Rogers as your ISP? Do you get an "advert" pop up in the lower right hand corner of your screen asking to upgrade your security from free to the one that costs coin per month?

I got a "friendly customer care call" (arrrggghhhh) from Rogers and I complained about the advert and got an arguement. The miserable bitch would NOT believe the fact that I HAVE my pupup blocker enabled and still get the advert at least twice a day. I finally said, "You are giving me the runaround and telling me I am a liar. Customer care my ass! Record this for quality control purposes bitch. FUCK OFF AND DON"T CALL ME AGAIN!"

The advert still appears.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. Like most mothers, Ma Bell is all-knowing.

Gnu thanks for your kind offer. Much appreciated. My Internet server is a little known company called ROCLER. I am under contract with them for high speed at $39.00 per month. I hope they never go under because I sure as hell don't want to go to Sympatico.

We exited Bell when our local internet provider offered high speed fibre optic in ground combined service for phone internet and TV. Bell had been a real pain, not responding to service requests, and when they did, doing it very poorly with very unprofessional sub-contractors. Since we switched to Hurontel we've had zero issues.

My dear Mum died a few years ago but Bell still refuses to change the name on the account to my sister's name (they had lived together forever), in spite of repeated issuances of death certificate copies, written complaints, threats to change providers.

We were harassed for more than a year by phone calls from Bell to switch back to it, in spite of being on a no-call list (we thought). The calls were almost daily. After the first few dozen polite refusals, I just hung up on them or ignored the call, then I got snarky, to no avail. I reported Bell to the police, called my MP, and finally said things on the phone to their caller in the hopes that they would send the police around to me, but it didn't happen. It's been a few weeks since we got a call, but I don't expect it's over.

I would go without service rather than return to Bell.

Peace, Mooh.

Guess what? The CRTC put Bell in charge of administering the Do Not Call List program!

I couldn't make this shit up.

Rogers jacked up my rates, cut my discount, and donated some on my behalf.

I didn't donate my gift. I didn't get a gift. I lost when I entered the contest and won a consolation prize that I couldn't use but could "donate" only to a charity not of my choice.

Charmion... what's that ringing in my ear???

Charmion... every time you hear a Bell, another customer gets it's wings clipped.

I wonder whose offshore account got fattened for Bell "voluteering" to administer the "list" or was it "contracted out" to them? Same difference.

Bell ate the good telcos in Atlantic Canada; Newfoundland Tel, Maritime Tel, Island Tel, and NB Tel. Then merged them into Aliant at cost to both the customers and employees and then ate Aliant and outsourced as much work as possible. They also cut Northern Telcom adrift leaving many employees in the lurch. This is the new world economic order, I guess. Bell is just better at it than most. Executive bonuses and golden handshake retirements for those in the wheelhouse and customers and employees can piss off!
