Has anybody ever published a collection that combines the lyrics, tunes and sample recordings of Child Ballads (or even a portion of them)?

Lyrics & tunes...yes. Google "Bronson" & "ballads" You can buy books.

sample recordings are scattered many places...unless you subscribe to Usenet thru a provider. (If that means nothing to you, it means paying one of many services that collect posts on many subjects...including music. Collections of Child ballads are often there, sorted by ballad #)

Bronson's Traditional Tunes of the Child Ballads (4 volumes) is available from Books at CAMSCO

The Loomis House version of Child (4 or the 5 volumes, with the last volume ready soon) is also available from CAMSCO.
