I put this below the line because it doesn't pass my subjective definition of music but it is funny!

I even took the time to read the comments. Someone said they haven't
made the playoffs in 15 years. It's more like 5 going on 6 this season.
They made the conference finals twice in four years with Cujo, Sundin,
and Roberts, and Berezin.

I've been a Leafs fan since childhood so I can relate to the guy with the bag over his head. Ballard killed the team and I'm still waiting for the resurrection. The only place around here that carries brown paper bags anymore is the liquor store and they are too small to fit my big head.

Yer lucky. The liquor stores here are phasing out brown bags and charging a nickel for plastic bags. The 5p goes to MADD so if you don't get a bag yer a dirtbag. I bring a Sobeys bag when I buy my 2 beer in one can and voice my displeasure at the government telling me who I should donate money to. And, I voice my displeasure at paying double the deposit on a 2 beer can. But, it's the government eh?

Sandy, I would take Ballard anytime over Ned F....ing Harkness who destroyed the Red Wings in the early 70's. Here is a quote from Wikipedia: "Detroit fans still remember this era as "Darkness with Harkness", one of the worst periods in franchise history". Man do I remember. But only because like you Sandy I am a die heart Red Wing fan. In fact I am watching them on the net as I type.

Gnu, they stopped the bag thing a year ago here in Quebec. They did have a free cloth bag promotion a few weeks before it came into effect. But here is a little story. Nothing to do with "Go Leafs Go' but us Maritimers can relate to it.
I know i was under age but because I had a mustache early i was not questioned at the liquor commission. My sister would ask me to go in the commission to buy her a bottle or case of whatever. Sandy, do you remember that law? Women were not allow to purchase booze in a liquor commission. This would have been around 60/65. I remember how furious my sister was due to this law.
Here is to you fellows.

Women were also not allowed in taverns back then. As a 17 year old I left Cape Breton for Halifax to continue my education. I spent my spare time with a group of friends, only one of whom was 21 (legal age then). Of the group I was the biggest at 6'2", about 210 pounds and also the youngest. The oldest friend, of legal age , looked younger than any of us. We would go to the tavern, have him enter first and when he was challenged he would produce his drivers license and the rest of us would follow him in with never a question. Those were the days my friend...........

I recall that in Halifax near 1970 there were taverns (men only), lounges (men and women) and beverage rooms (men allowed but only if accompanied by a woman).

Beer... how did you know I went there after the game? Only saw one NHL game... I was amazed by the passing and especially GUY!!!! skating in perpetual motion, baffling the defense.

Chongo follows the Moncton Hawks?

""The first women to legally drink in a tavern in Quebec was on December 8, 1971. It was at "Janelle's Le Gobelet" at 8405 Rue St. Lawrence in Montreal (they were actually the first women to drink in a brasserie, which was a new category started by the authorities to allow taverns to serve women). Le Gobelet was the first to get a brasserie license (a 14 ounce glasses of draught beer cost 35 cents at the time).

In 2008, according to the liquor board, Quebec was home to just 98 brasseries and 40 taverns.
