Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the tune that comes in around 2:05 on this video?

Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron play at a Fay Hield gig

Been bugging me (and them apparently!)

Sinéad.

It sounds like the Robert Harbron style of writing it could be one of his.

No, was at the gig and no one knew what it was- apparently they are both traditional.

Thanks though!

The second tune is The Battered Hake Polka by Colin Cotter - great version by Rob & Sam (mind you I'm biased because I'd happily listen to Rob Harbron playing scales all day); also played by The Gloworms.

Now, what's the FIRST tune Sam & Rob play in the same clip, anyone?

According to Sam it's a Playford tune called St. Catherine.

Thanks sfmans!

According to Sam it's a Playford tune called St. Catherine.

St Catherine it is, another great tune from the 11th edition of 1701 - the same edition of the Dancing Master that saw the first appearance of Mount Hills, Cheshire Rounds, and Portsmouth amongst many other great tunes.
