This year it is the last weekend (28th.-30th.) which clashes with the start of Sidmouth; anyone got any idea why it was changed? I think Warwick is likely to miss out on quite a few people, both paying punters and stewards who have to choose one or the other. |

26 Jan 11 - 12:13 AM (#3082517) Subject: RE: Warwick Festival 2011 From: GUEST Actually Warwick is always held on the last full weekend of July, the only exception to this was a few years ago when Sidmouth FF, which is always based around the first Monday of August ended up as a possible clash - At that time the organisers of Warwick decided to push back a weekend. Apparently there was a major outcry from smaller festivals over the change to accommadate Sidmouth FF so that this time a conscious decision was made by the organisers not to move Warwick FF. I will be sad to miss Warwick this year as it is an excellent festival but Sidmouth is also a favourite that i have commitments to so i will be there, all i can say is good luck to both and i will be back at Warwick next year. In 2012 there is the clash with the 'Limpics. And I can't even escape them at Sidders because there will be a large screening just for the folkies! Can I propose a 'Limp Pick free zone around (say) the Radway? |
