Full details as below:- Spring Sing in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support from Friday, 25 March 2011 at 19:30 – Sunday, 27 March 2011 at 23:30 at the Croxdale Inn, Front Street,Croxdale, Co. Durham - Croxdale is near Durham City A DIY weekend with some themes and fines e.g. finger in the ear would mean a £1 fine! At least!! Some places for motorhomes but we would prefer you reserve places in advance. Sorry no facilities for tents - probably a bit cold then anyway. En suite rooms are £100 PER ROOM for the three nights i.e. £33.33 per night. A deposit of £50 will secure a room for the 3 nights. Hoping to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support and generally to have a good weekend of Folk Song and Music and Verse. Please PM Carol for further details |

07 Feb 11 - 05:05 AM (#3090267) Subject: RE: Spring Sing Weekend 25-27 March Durham From: Carol At the moment it looks like we're starting at 7.30 on the Friday, on the Saturday and Sunday 12.30 until 16.30 but if enough people are in the room at any time e.g. 11 a.m. there's nothing to prevent them singing - I think the extra sessions will depend partly on the weather!! Like if it's freezing we'll be staying in the pub and not exploring Durham City. Evenings will start at 7.30p.m. and continue as long as they allow us to sing! Can't be any more specific than that at the moment as Carol and I haven't worked out the programme yet. |

24 Feb 11 - 01:53 PM (#3102052) Subject: RE: Spring Sing Weekend 25-27 March Durham From: GUEST,Suibhne Astray To everyone here & everyone everywhere: Friday 29th April, 8.00pm - Singaround at The Alley, The Queen's Head, Morpeth hosted by Rapunzel & Sedayne (who, contrary to slanderous rumours being spread around by certain individuals who really ought to know better, does not interupt singarounds unless they have overrun by twenty-minutes thus cutting into the alotted half-hour setting up time for the next show in an already tight festival schedule). This is open to all; an equal, egalitarian celebration of Folk Song of Any Persuasion, Accompanied, Unaccompanied, Traditional, or Otherwise. All Rapunzel & I do is provide a welcome & kick it off, which is how a singaround out to be run. For more on the Morpeth Gathering 2011: http://www.northumbriana.org.uk/gathering/next.htm Hope to see you there! Sedayne - sean@sedayne.co.uk |
