02 Feb 11 - 10:00 PM (#3087648) Subject: BS: The hair(s) on my arms is(are) long. From: gnu What the... ? I just noticed today. At almost 54 years old, the little buggers were standing out... way out! I thought it must be static electricity to make them stand up and out so I went to the sink and touched the tap. Nope. They just stand up and out. Two inches long. It's not news I wouldn't think, but it's news to me that they are 2" plus. And, I checked my chest hair whilst readying for oggies... most is still not grey but the grey ones are up to 4" long. I declined to look any further down. What else have I to not look forward to as I pass middle age? Of course it's not "to worry" but it does feel like sommat is crawling on you when the ceiling fan is on in summer weather and you are trying to sleep. |

You can expect your doctor to press you to use medication, even when you feel fine. You can expect hangovers that you don't deserve. You can expect policemen to look 12 years old. |

03 Feb 11 - 07:42 AM (#3087817) Subject: RE: BS: The hair(s) on my arms is(are) long. From: JohnInKansas I can offer assurances from my own experience that it's nothing really to be concerned about until the long hairs in the eyebrows block your vision and the ones hanging out of your nose get in the chili when you eat. Those long ones that spurt out of your ears can be a quite convenient excuse ("I can't hear you") for ignoring those ignorant babblers who don't yet accept the superiority of your knowledge of everything that they think is brand new, when they decide that they're the only ones who've discovered it and feel compelled to pass on their misunderstandings. And if the ones on your arms actually do get long enough, perhaps you'll be able to compete with Chongo for the really hot John |

03 Feb 11 - 01:26 PM (#3087975) Subject: RE: BS: The hair(s) on my arms is(are) long. From: frogprince I've had Andy Rooney syndrome for at least a couple of years now, but I cut off the excess regularly to disguise the symptoms. One day I noticed a hair completely angling across my vision. Brushed back my hair, no difference. Took off my specs, no hair stuck on them. Looked in the mirror and an eyebrow hair was hanging clear down past my eye on my cheek. And yes, the nose hairs want to join forces with the mustache, and the edges of my ears are fuzzy. |
