BS: The hair(s) on my arms is(are) long.

What the... ? I just noticed today. At almost 54 years old, the little buggers were standing out... way out! I thought it must be static electricity to make them stand up and out so I went to the sink and touched the tap. Nope. They just stand up and out. Two inches long.

It's not news I wouldn't think, but it's news to me that they are 2" plus. And, I checked my chest hair whilst readying for oggies... most is still not grey but the grey ones are up to 4" long. I declined to look any further down.

What else have I to not look forward to as I pass middle age?

Of course it's not "to worry" but it does feel like sommat is crawling on you when the ceiling fan is on in summer weather and you are trying to sleep.

You can expect the hairs in your nostrils to link into your moustache, and the hairs in your ears to make you look as if you are wearing earmuffs. Round the edge of your ears, too.
You can expect your doctor to press you to use medication, even when you feel fine.
You can expect hangovers that you don't deserve.
You can expect policemen to look 12 years old.

The worry is when you start losing them from where they used to be Gnu. Try a bit of baby oil it should make them hang down LOL!

Think yourself lucky. I have aleopecia and look like I've been waxed (and it's colder in winter without any insulation. ;-)

I can offer assurances from my own experience that it's nothing really to be concerned about until the long hairs in the eyebrows block your vision and the ones hanging out of your nose get in the chili when you eat.

Those long ones that spurt out of your ears can be a quite convenient excuse ("I can't hear you") for ignoring those ignorant babblers who don't yet accept the superiority of your knowledge of everything that they think is brand new, when they decide that they're the only ones who've discovered it and feel compelled to pass on their misunderstandings.

And if the ones on your arms actually do get long enough, perhaps you'll be able to compete with Chongo for the really hot broa.. ladies (although probably only at the nursing home).

John

Billy Connelly says when you reach a certain age, the check-up doctor loses interest in your testicles and becomes more concerned about your rectum!

I've had Andy Rooney syndrome for at least a couple of years now, but I cut off the excess regularly to disguise the symptoms. One day I noticed a hair completely angling across my vision. Brushed back my hair, no difference. Took off my specs, no hair stuck on them. Looked in the mirror and an eyebrow hair was hanging clear down past my eye on my cheek. And yes, the nose hairs want to join forces with the mustache, and the edges of my ears are fuzzy.

Forget about the hair. There are scarier things than that.

SINS... I am not aware of any hair on my ass. Now you have me concerned. I don't wanna look! I could email you a pic though.

On this side of the pond you'd probably get done for animal cruelty if your ass wasn't hairy.

With these dreadful winters we're all experiencing, the more hair the better. My sister, who foolishly insists on living in Scotland, tells me she's become very much more hairy on her arms and legs over the past few years. It adds an extra layer of insulation under her clothes. But she didn't mention her ears or nose, I assume they're just as usual.

A few years ago playing a gig in Germany I had a request from a female to sing "Black is the color of my true love`s hairs". I didn`t have the heart to explain the subtle difference between "hairs" and "hair", so I just sang it.

Heh heh heh when I was pregnant my pubic hair started growing like crazy, it was curling down half-way to my knees! It was a riot! Well, the midwife wasn't happy, but it was entertaining...
