To go from seeing him as a fully integrated part of the Transatlantic Sessions playing to a crowd of 2,500 at the Festival Hall on Monday to sitting within touching distance of the headstock of his guitar for his solo gig in the back room of a pub seating 55 last night was a big change (thanks for the front-row seats, Sylvia, much appreciated!). Loved it. And to cap it all, he's a really nice guy, very down to earth and great to chat to. Just an amazing evening. My friend Sarah who came up from Stoke-on-Trent (a "mere" hour away) was also blown away. Thanks for organising this, Sylvia and co. |
