07 Sep 99 - 12:51 PM (#112141) Subject: RE: Help: Posting song lyrics From: MMario The format of the forum requires that lines end with the HTML code for a line break. For a much better explanation of this then I can give, HTML in the filter on the main forum page, set the date to 90 days and refresh. Check out the threads. Lots of stuff about line breaks, blue clickie things etc... |

07 Sep 99 - 06:48 PM (#112260) Subject: RE: Help: Posting song lyrics From: Joe Offer Hi, Jon - I've been maintaining the HTML Stuff (click here) thread as a guide to posting messages and lyrics and such. It has all sorts of good stuff for you, and links to other ideas. We usually don't edit out messages that are in our regular threads, but I do delete HTML practice messages after a while, so that thread should remaing a good reference, without getting too cluttered up with other stuff. There's a link to it on our links page. You'll find links to our links page and all sorts of other stuff at the top of the Forum Menu and many other pages at the 'Cat. -Joe Offer- |

07 Sep 99 - 09:29 PM (#112294) Subject: RE: Help: Posting song lyrics From: Joe Offer Hi, Carl - I'm wondering if something's gone wrong with the system, because it seems like we've been getting a lot of misplaced song requests today. This thread is about the techniques of posting song lyrics. Sometimes, we get a little jumpy when people post requests where they don't seem to belong, but I'm beginning to think that we "regulars" have forgotten how it feels to be new around here. Click here to get to the thread on the song you wanted. If you have any more questions, please try to put them in a thread with an appropriate title. Hope that helps. -Joe Offer- |

08 Sep 99 - 04:02 PM (#112557) Subject: RE: Help: Posting song lyrics From: Joe Offer Looks perfect to me, Radriano. Now, try typing lyrics in a word processor, and using the "replace" function to substitute carriage returns for a carriage return PLUS a <br> line break. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but it makes things a lot easier. -Joe Offer- |
