08 Sep 99 - 01:31 AM (#112358) Subject: Tune Add: BOLD FENIAN MEN From: John in Brisbane This is somewhat of an experiment as I scanned the music using SharpEye. The song is Bold Fenian Men and as far as I can tell it is not in the DT. (It is not Down By The Glenside). The lyrics start 'See who comes over the red blossomed heather, their green banners kissing the pure mountain air.' Is it already in the DT by another name? Regards, John

Our prayers and our tears they have scoffed and derided,
We've men from the Nore, the Suir and the Shannon,
Side by side for the cause have our forefathers battled, |

There's already a lyrics added: Banna strand thread I suggest you go there to check out those lyrics and add the appropriate tune to the thread. I haven't actually read through the Banna strand thread, just did a forum search to find out if there was one |
