Lyr Req: The Old Red Lion (Harry Champion)

Subject: Lyr Req: The Old Red Lion (Harry Champion)
From: Jim Dixon

I couldn't find a complete recording of this song online. The best I could find was a medley that contained only one verse and chorus. You can hear the medley at YouTube. This is the fourth song in the medley, after I'M HENERY THE EIGHTH I AM, COVER IT OVER QUICK JEMIMA, and THE END OF MY OLD CIGAR.

THE OLD RED LION
As sung by Harry Champion

VERSE: Now just to keep the missus and the kids in grub,
I saved up my money and I went in for a pub.
Name of the pub is the Old Red Lion.
Don't call there for auld lang syne.
So next time you're in the neighborhood, whether you're short or tall,
You'll be as welcome as the flowers in May if you'll only give a call—

CHORUS: At the Old Red Lion. Pop into the Old Red Lion.
There you'll find me behind the bar,
Swaggering about with a fat cigar.
Barmaids there, young and fair, sort to keep your eye on.
Don't have a tiddly at the Fountain, friend. Pop into the Old Red Lion.

Does anybody have more lyrics?
