He began playing guitar at the age of 10, was on 'Hullabaloo" on TV by age 13, released his first album, Pousette-Dart Band in 1976 and has recently released his 9th album. His reputation as a guitarist and performer is impeccable. Come to Stone Soup for a magical night of music. The Pousette-Dart Band earned a reputation as being one of the hardest working touring units of the 1970's and 80's. Their four albums for Capitol records earned them respect amongst a wide national audience and their peers. They toured with some of the biggest drawing tours of the period including Yes, Peter Frampton, Gary Wright, and went on to work regularly with many of their favorites including Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, James Taylor, the Byrds and many others. Band members are Jon Pousette-Dart, Eric Parker on drums, Jim Chapdelaine on guitar and Paul Socolow on bass. Jon Pousette-Dart has remained an active figure in NYC producing his latest CD's, TV specials, and film scores, all the while writing and recording with his many friends in Nashville, where the band recorded most of their Capitol releases with producer Norbert Putnam. He has established himself as a respected songwriter in collaborations with NRBQ's Al Anderson, Gary Burr, Jennifer Kimball, John Bohlinger, Tom Kimmel, Fred Knobloch, and more. He has produced 5 episodes of the History Channel's series "Gunfighters of the West", and his song "Fall On Me" was placed in ABC's wildly successful American serial drama television series "Lost".
