John Kirkpatrick is a superb singer, great writer, fine dancer & the best English squeezer bar none. He is one of the great solo acts on the folk scene & has played with the Albions, Steeleye Span, Brass Monkey, Band of Hope & many more.

Many of John's own tunes have passed into the common repertoire: Jump At The Sun, Nipper, Pepper in the Brandy, As The Sun Was Setting & many more. In the workshop John will take you through a selection from his recently-published collection Jump At The Sun (Quarry House Publishing, info@quarry-house.co.uk), explore ways of making them sparkle & possibly discuss where & how he finds his inspiration.

John's chosen the music for the workshop and it's ready to be sent out by post. If you already have the book, look at pages 10, 24, 33, 36, 67. We still have some workshop places and evening tickets available.

I see "The Dance of the Demon Daffodils" in on page 10 - hope that's one of the tunes in the workshop as it's one of my JK favourites. Yum!

John hasn't specified which tunes he'll tackle from the pages he's chosen, but he adds 'If there are any others that people are busting to play we can always add them in during the afternoon session'.

Wil, I've posted you copies even though you've got the book because you might want to scribble notes on them during the workshop.
