And I'm an old man now and my memory's imperfect - but I THINK it was Pete Coe and I thought he was English, but he sounded very American to me. I loved that recording you linked to, Freddy. The Irish performers I was hearing about the same time also sounded American - singing country music with a twang. Nobody's trying to be American these days.
