Sheet fire...

I done got three load of stuff down here and arrived today with another load and looked across the creek and, hmmmmmmm??? Some one has brought in about 200 dump trucks of dirt and we now see kinda the opposite of what John Prine was singing in' about in his song "Paradise: 'cause we now have a mound of dirt some 40 feet high (deep) just on the other side of our property???

Going to meet with the sellers agent in the morning and see what is what???

Sheet fire...

B~

Hey, it makes a good target backstop. Or maybe they're building a ski slope.

But they'd better watch the creek in whatever they're doing. They could get in trouble for messing with it.

Now, that's what I call being neighborly! Someone has attempted to replicate the Skyline Drive right where you can gaze out at it and feel almost as though you were still back in Virginny!

Whew!!!

Seems that it just Farmer Brown clearing a little more land to farm...

No toxic waste dump, sewage treatment plant, jail house, chicken houses 'er none of that...

All is well...

Plus, guess with him fillin' where he filled we'll actually have a little more privacy and we already had plenty...

Sigh of relief, for sure; I bet we all were kinda running a competition imagining grim scenarios: land fill, mammoth industrial building, God knows what.

OK, everyone cancel the plane tickets!

We were ready to come over, fill our trousers turn-ups with it, Great Escape style and secretly shake it back on to his land so surrepticiouslytishishillleee that he'd not even notice until the hill had disappeared..!

Glad it's all OK, Bobs.

(shame I didn't use a word I could spell!) ;0)

The dirt is clay that he has filled with... Not great but with the proper amendments will grow just about anything...

Well, lotta questions here that need answerin'...

What kinda crops??? Soy beans one year, corn the next...

Levee??? That ain't funny, olster 'cause that creek does flood and has been known to come up the hill some 15 feet in elevation within 5 feet in elevation from the house...

Clay, gnu-ze, is some good shit... Most people think clay sucks... Okay, potters like it but clay is loaded with nutrients... I mean, flat out loaded... I mean, people go back in the woods and dig down into that black top soil and think that stuff has to have all these nutrients??? Nah, clay has more... They are just locked and need to get out...

Clay is the most misunderstood soil known to man...

What else??? Nothin'...

Great... Lemme go talk about music, 'er drugs. 'er womenz....

Farmer Brown could could not have been paid well enough to lie about the cheap dirt that came from the Oak Ridge LH3 clean up project.
I'm gone to Carolina in my mind.
