12 May 11 - 05:39 PM (#3152991) Subject: BS: Bobert Furlowed from Funny Farm... From: Bobert Howdy, Mudders... I have surfaced from a the Week from Hell and before I begin Week from Hell, Part 17 have 2 glorious days to be bossed around by not only the P-Vine but her sister here in "Win-git", North Care-lina... For those poor souls who delight in Bobert's miseries I will not disappoint... Seems about a week ago the P-Vine asked me if I had arranged to shut off the pudder company back in Pine Grove Holler so I called 'um up and told them to cut it off in 48 hours which would give me time to, ahhhh, get help from ya'll on gettin' my email addresses switched over, right??? Wrong... 45 minutes later everything went away so I called back and got some other person who said, "Get over it", so I asked to speak with his boss who told me to "Get over it" and so after spending three hours on the phone with various and sundry "Get over it-ers" I talked with the head guy who told me to "Get over it" and then I told him about my cousin so he said, "Well, maybe I could keep you email account open for a week" which he did and a dear friend has somehow converted me to G-mail with all my addresses and so life should be good, right??? Wrong... So Monday was the big moving day and I packed up the P-Vine, 3 useless cats and her sister along with a our homemade covered trailer and sent them off to "Win-git" and then the crew-of-three-less-one showed to help load the 26 foot U-Haul with furniture and the crew-of-three-less-one and I packed the sumabich tighter than a mouse's ear and then I went back in the house and looked at what was still there and the reality set in that I had miss-figured the number of 7 1/2-hours-each-way by an additional trip... Maybe two but it was pushin' 4:30 in the pm and so I drove until after midnight to Win-git, crashed next to the P-Vine so life should be good, right??? Wrong... Never buy the $75 queen sized air mattress from the Walmarx... Get the $125 on from Costco 'cause the Walmarx ones leak and are only good for about 3 hours, if that... So the following day my NC boyz showed up and we had the truck unloaded in about 5 hours less time than the Pine Grove Holler crew-of-three-less-one (plus me) took to load it... I will have to admit that unloading we a lot easier than the loadin' so life shoulda been good, right??? Wrong... Here we had lined up to have our phone and inner-net all working last Tuesday and seems that North Carolina math is differenter here than other parts of the country and 5,000 ft = 20,000 ft. and we are 20,000 feet (not 5,000 feet) from the innernet-mother-ship so here it is, what??? Three days later and I think I have innernet put I won't be sure until I hit the submit button at the end of this... BTW, what day is it??? I hope it's not Saturday... Please tell me it's Friday or Thursday... No matter... I got cold beer and I think a pudder that works so I reckon I deal with all this fun... B~ |

I got my queen sized double layered blow up mattress at The Christmas Tree Shop on sale for $199.99. Set it up in the guest room and there she sits years later. Not a leak nor a hiss. Ask Jeri. She sleeps on it pretty regular. |

I don't think I'm gonna need no blow up mattress be it $75 bucks from Walmarx 'er $7500 from Hallmaker-Schelmer... I'm gonna try taking it back... No matter... Got two days to piddle stuff, like fixing a little leak under the sink (trap) and going to Lowes and buy a shade fir the bathroom (as if there is anyone out there that can see us) and eating BBQ... BBQ??? Found the best BBQ maybe anywhere... Called Big Bob's and this stuff is righteous... Has a bigass high tech wood smoker in the kitchen that prolly run you a hundred grand... They BBQ anything but road kill and it's the best I ever eat... Makes that BBQ joint over in Wilson like some kids idea of BBQ... This stuff is the real deal... Ya'll Google up "Big Bob's BBQ" and see how many national BBQ award these people done run up... The worsest part about being here, other than it being North Care-lina is that my cats is wierded out... We're gonna keep them in the garage fir a few more days... At least until I get back with the next load but they are doing some house time, too... I donno how long is best without them running off crazy lookin' for the holler... Maybe someone knows... Meanwhile, Iz beat but I got beer... B~ |

Today is the day that the former owner and his two sons are going to help me uncover the pool for the summer and get the pumps going and the do the chemicals... ("Do the chemicals", Boberdz???) Man, don't get me started, Anon... Hey, I thought I'd left your dumb butt back in the holler... Never mind the chemicals... Today is pool day... Yesterday was find-the-cats-&-argue-with-the-womenz day and tomorrow is ride-7 1/2-hours-in-the-dumb-box-truck day so I reckon that having a pool day makes today the respite in the storm... Oh well, I'll be going back for Trip #8 this weekend and we have a nice little coffee shop that has good coffees for folks like us... You know, "coffee snobs"... lol... The "f'n psycho cat" has been quarantined to the pantry room (in the garage) and is currently hiding in the step back cabinet... She has at least seen the other three cats, all of which she hates, so that prolly makes her feel better about everything... Nuthin' like havin' some cats to hate, right??? Meanwhile, the "Don't Call" is a 30 day deal so the phone rings every 15 minutes with someone trying to sell us something... The pool is uncovered and has green water... The former owner offered to get it right so he has been shocking it and putting stuff in it and, geeze, I don't know nuthin' about pools... The P-Vine says she's gonna take care of it... Yeah, right... If I had my way I fill the sumabcih in and grown vegetables there... Oh well... I am ramblin' from exhaustion... Did I mention that I'm down to two trips??? B~ |

Not too sure I'll get back for #8 before Monday because getting there involves getting thru Concord, NC and this weekend is ***race weekend*** and the race track is in Concord... No matter... Got a call from one of my hillbilly buddies today and looks as if he is willing, for a small fee, to get the Spartan trailer/music studio down off blocks and tires on and ready to go on a flat-bed trailer to come here to live... That alone will save me an entire day (maybe two) of having to be up there... Meanwhile, we've found a good ol' boy carpenter who has been taking care of a lot of little things that we need done... So we are making progress... At least until the next truck load of boxes... If the P-Vine unpacks and puts away two boxes she boasts as if she had conquered pi or something... At that rate, she'll be in her 90's before she unloads the last box... She is severely box challenged!!! F'n psycho cat came in the house fir the first time and promptly found the only place to hide that we can't get to... Normal... What day is it??? I thought that yesterday was Wednesday so I was looking forward to American Idol (go Haley) but it wasn't on because it wasn't Wednesday... I'll try again in tonight... From: gnu Idol... one of the girls is toast JUST because of entertainment value on accounta they all have big deals coming their way and it's all about $$$. I suspect it will be Lauren because they need to keep the male vs female thing going and they don't want to lose the "non-country" singer for the same "vs" aspect of marketing the show. Oh, yeah... that thing about the public "voting"? Hahahahahaa! Having said such cynical things, it's wonderful to watch this young talent. Overall, I like Haley best but that lad is awesome. I wanna watch him sing Long Black Train in the final... I can think of some more but that one just seems to suit him because of the tunes he has sung in the past. Of course, Firecracker would kick the crowd up. Did I mention I am a Josh Turner fan? |

And they like them country singers... As fir unpacking??? The P-Vine is running on the ragged edge... She doesn't do this well... Me??? I can handle "organizational" stuff fine... Her??? No wiring what so ever for it... The worst part about it is that we have about another 200 boxes yet to come down... Man, we gotta a lot of stuff and it ain't all mine either... Gonna be interesting... Spent the day hiding unpacked boxes so that the house looks somewhat like a house... But only somewhat... B~ |

I've watched the show for years and seen the best get "voted off" early on and go on to big money. Another factor might be their ages... a minor cannot be held to a contract when they turn the age of majority. Gee golly gosh eh! And the age of majority deoends on the state in which the contract was signed... in British law anyway... I dunno about down in The States. No matter.
