We have been trying to get him out for some time and he was brilliant, he even sang "outside track" for us. Also he doesn't have much of his recorded stuff on cd or vynyl for that matter, needs investigating. Anyway he did indicate that after an eight year retirement from the pro scene he might do a few gigs a year if anyone should ask him, I think he enjoyed himself. |

"Artesian Water" jumps to my mind as a unique song on a quite unusual topic. Stallion, where are you? In OZ, right? (Probably New Jersey or Cleveland!? ;-) Art Thieme--in Illinois--USA |

Gerry and i played in the same team here in york. He sang Artesian water last night in fact it would be hard to choose any of last nights songs as a "stand out" as the whole performance was just superb. Apparently a lot of his master tapes (Fellside) were sold to a US company and are not being released, I think I got from the conversation we had that he would like to release his vynyl back catalogue on cd but is hogtied, my thoughts are, although he didn't say it, that if he can get his stuff onto cd's then he may well tour again but at the moment I suppose he feels that the one cd he has on offer may not be enough, very good as it is. Anyway his parting words were "I will have to work up some new material" Oh and as an aside, we chatted about what 2BS&S were doing and he was interested in doing some recording with Rob. |
