Bruce Murdoch review

Mike Regenstreif wrote about Bruce Murdoch and his new CD on the Folk Roots/Folk Branches blog.

It's more of an essay that includes a CD review than a simple review. An excellent read.

I'm biased, but I think the CD is brilliant.

Fulsome praise indeed, but then we all know he deserves it.

Very nice review -- Mike is as good at his craft as Bruce is at his.

A good friend of mine buys all the CDs for our local record library.
It won't be on sale here in France,so if some kind person could give me some info as how he can get hold of a couple of copies, I personally would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.

David

Nothing seems to give me a blue clicky but here is a link to another piece about Bruce. This one in a French paper near Montreal.

Maybe....

"Fulsome" of praise means that it is overblown and false. I take it that that was not intended.

fulsome: adjective

1 complimentary or flattering to an excessive degree:the press are embarrassingly fulsome in their appreciation
2 of large size or quantity; generous or abundant:the fulsome details of the later legend
From: http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/fulsome

I reckon the first meaning is accurate from Bruce's perspective, while the second meaning, as used by John MacKenzie, is apt from the view of those who appreciate his music.
