It could only be a US company :-)

I think I will order a Wayne Kerr meter and see how well it works around here...

Just looked at a price for one of their 6500P series models. Only £17,000 + VAT

It sounds unbelievable but I swear this is true. A boy pupil in the school where I taught was called Dwayne Pipe. His mates called him 'Gutter'. His mother, Mrs Pipe, was actually a teacher in a nearby secondary school. You'd think she'd have had more sense!

Nothing, Bob, Honest! But next time you are in the UK I dare you to shout aloud in the pub "Are there any Wayne Kerrs in here?"

If you do, next time I am stateside, I will loudly announce that I am going outside to roll a fag :-)

Cheers

DtG - but to be honest, nobody in the UK would stretch their vowels like that would they? Maybe if someone tried to shout in a pub in Benidorm, are there any Juan Kerrs....?

I can honestly say that no car salesman in any pub in 'ampshire has given me cause to believe that people called Wayne might be in danger of going blind...

I knew a girl, many years ago, called Nelly. She married someone called - yes - Jelly.

I'm not joking.
