I had a look and couldn't find it anywhere in the digitrad archive.

I can make out some of it, and I might post up what I think I've heard so far, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone else.

I found a YouTube recording of the Georgia White record here:

Here's one by Frankie "Half Pint" Jaxon, and I can't understand that one, either:

I think SYM was the B side to Georgia White's 'Careless Love'.

Tampa Red and Georgia Tom did it, too.

STREWIN' YOUR MESS
As recorded by Georgia White, 1937.

You heard "Tight Like That" and "Shake That Thing,"
But here's a tune you'll love to swing:
Strewin' your mess, yes, strewin' your mess.
Ev'rybody love to swing and strew their mess.

Uncle Ed tipped out with his best girl,
Didn't Zazu Zass(?) put the town in a whirl,
Strewin' his mess, yes, strewin' his mess.
Ev'rybody love to swing and strew their mess.

Once I heard a preacher say:
"I'll preach tonight but not today."
He was strewin' his mess, yes, strewin' his mess.
Ev'rybody love to swing and strew their mess.

A hen laid an egg on the ground one day.
The rooster flopped his wings and said: "Hey, hey!
You strewin' your mess, yes, strewin' your mess."
Ev'rybody love to swing and strew their mess.

Sister Sue told Brother Bald
To not to get her ashes hauled,
Just to strew her mess, yes, strew her mess.
Ev'rybody love to swing and strew their mess.

Joe Offer- in the second verse, I hear "did the Zazu Zap"

Joe: You may be right. That would imply there was a dance called the Zazu Zap. I can find no record of such a dance.--JD

There is a recurring scat phrase that varies somewhat, but I have tried to make an exact transcription only in the first verse.

STREWIN' YOUR MESS
As recorded by Billy McKenzie and Jesse Crump, 1929.

You heard "Tight Like That" and "Shake That Thing,"
But here's a song you'll love to sing,
Called strewin' your mess, reep-pop-an-didda-dudda, strewin' your mess, reep-pop-an-didda-dudda.
Ev'rybody loves to, Lord, loves to strew their mess.

Uncle Ned tipped out with his best girl,
Messed around and put the town in a great big whirl,
From strewin' his mess, [scat], strewin' his mess, [scat].
Ev'rybody loves to, Lord, loves to strew their mess.

A hen laid an egg in the hay one day.
The rooster walked up and I heard him say:
"Mama, strew your mess, [scat], strew your mess, [scat]."
Ev'rybody loves to, Lord, loves to strew their mess.

SPOKEN: Come on, Jess! Strew your mess.

Grandpa came home about half-past two,
Asked grandma to toodle-oodle-oo.
She strewed her mess, [scat], strewed her mess, [scat].
He was half full o' liquor, and Lord, how he strewed his mess!

You talk about jelly shakin' on a plate.
Chicago gals got a shake that just won't wait.
They can strew their mess, [scat], strew their mess, [scat].
When they walk down State Street, Lord, they can strew their mess.

There's time for ev'rything, so the Good Book say.
The best time to strew it is awhile 'fore day.
Then you strew your mess, [scat], strew your mess, [scat].
In the cool of the mornin', Lord, you can strew your mess.

SPOKEN: Ah, strew your mess, boy! Strew it! Strew it!--Listen at that boy, strewin' his mess!

I'm an old man now; I can hardly see,
But there's two more comin' in the family,
From strewin' my mess, [scat], but I'm strewin' my mess, [scat].
I may be old and feeble, but, Lord, I can strew my mess.
Joe Offer- in the fourth verse, I hear "he was half full of liquor, and Lord, how he strewed his mess"

Fifth verse: "Chicago gals got a shake that just won't wait."

Joe: You're right. I have edited & incorporated your suggestions.--JD

STREWIN' YOUR MESS
As recorded by Tampa Red, 1929.

You heard "Tight Like That," "How Long, How Long,"
But folks, I'm gonna sing another brand-new song.
It's called strewin' your mess, ah, strewin' your mess.
Ev'rybody knows it; it's called strewin' your mess.

Uncle Ned slipped out with his best girl.
Well, now he's got children all over this world
From strewin' his mess, from strewin' his mess.
Ev'rybody knows it; he was strewin' his mess.

A hen laid a egg in the hay one day.
The rooster walked up and I heard him say:
"Oh, you strewin' your mess; you're strewin' your mess.
Ev'rybody knows it; you're strewin' your mess.

SPOKEN: Now play it.

Grandpapa came home 'bout half-past two.
He asked grandmama: "Let's toodle-oodle-oo,
'Cause you're strewin' your mess; now you're strewin' your mess.
I'm wild about it, the way you strewin' your mess."

You talk about jelly shakin' on a plate.
When my gal shakes it, it just won't wait.
Now strewin' her mess, strewin' her mess.
I'm wild about it, the way she strewin' her mess.

Time for ev'rything, so they say.
The best time to boot it, just awhile 'fore day.
You can strew your mess, strew your mess.
Ev'rybody knows it; you can strew your mess.

SPOKEN: Ah, come on, mama. Stew your mess. Shake it fast. Good. Yessir.

I'm old now; can't hardly see,
But I got two more comin' in the family,
From strewin' my mess, strewin' my mess.
Ev'rybody knows it; I'm strewin' my mess.
