28 Jul 11 - 12:07 PM (#3197327) Subject: RE: Obit: Less-well-known musicians From: MikeL2 hi I remember Eric . He played with Ambrose for some time and guested with several big bands in the 50's/60's. I saw him last many years ago when he guested with the Ted Heath Band. He did a duet with Heath's bass player ....I think it was Johnny Hawksworth but not sure. The number was The \Big Noise from Winnetka. He went on to form his own big band but like many other it "died" due the coming of rock & roll and The beatles here in the UK. Sad to hear of another great musician leaving us. Cheers MikeL2 |
