11 Aug 11 - 10:56 AM (#3206045) Subject: RE: BS: This Seagull walks into a Bar From: Georgiansilver Many years ago I worked as a store detective in Woolworths, Lincoln UK.. the funniest shop lifter we had was a dog which came in frequently, front paws up on the sweet counter and took a mouthful of always the same sweets. I followed it home and spoke with the owner who could not understand where his dog was getting his favourite mint humbugs from.... Never saw the dog in the shop again though... No action was taken.... |

Actually, there hasn't been any rioting or looting in Brighton that I know of. She hates gulls. They build nests on her roof and keep her awake squawking. I sort of like them myself, but I don't have to live with them on a daily basis. |

12 Aug 11 - 05:01 AM (#3206510) Subject: RE: BS: This Seagull walks into a Bar From: Sandra in Sydney my local supermarket was raided by s nasty (introduced pest) bird last year. It was eating the grapes & I felt sick in my stomach when I saw it standing on the open box & eating. When I told the dopey bloke in the fruit section he just said something like 'he's always doing it' & moved slowly towards the intruder. (ps. fruit display was well inside the shopping centre, past 3 large shops & around the corner past 2 shops so bird had to travel a while to get to his dinner.) |
