From: robomatic The morning of the 9th in the wee hours I had the BBC on and there was an interview "have your say" where a grown man, represented as an ex-street kid now as an adult trying to ween the youth from thug life, was being interviewed in the studio and some mid-level government functionary was on the phone with the BBC presenter. The 'grown man' had a strong accent but I was able to make out from his chatter that if someone busted a store window and boosted some goods, he was a criminal, but if another person went past the now 'open' shop after that person and helped himself or herself, that was only natural. No one challenged him on that! I was only half awake but I've tried to nail down specifically when that aired so I can see if there's a podcast but I haven't succeeded. |
