Put another way, do you have stand-by favourites to turn to when feeling low? I am not talking about life-threatening setbacks, more life's occasional disappointments keenly felt. I am in real need of consolation after Sunderland 0 Newcastle 1 and cannot immediately think of any song or tune, except maybe some long, slow and very self-pitying blues, that would come near to doing the trick. |

I wouldn't say I'm cured - only giving up being a supporter would do that - but it did cheer me up, so much so that I will use the clip to round off my Song of the Day thingie at Salut! Live (definitely a clickie this time though it will be another week or so before Bring Me Sunshine and Paul Vaughan see themselves up in those particular lights). And it stands an excellent chance of being used at Salut! Sunderland tomorrow (still no clickie: I've had 6,000 hits - ie visits, not comments - tonight and most are probably gloating Mags). |
