One thing that applies to this area, whereas it might not to other areas as much (but I am just guessing) is that, like fishing here, it was not done in English..so songs could exist by the hundreds in Swedish, Finnish,...I don't know what other ethnic groups were represented in large numbers as lumberjacks here.. |
