06 Sep 11 - 09:29 PM (#3219302) Subject: LA-CTMS Equinox Festival Sept 10-11 From: Desert Dancer Coming up this weekend: the California Traditional Music Society's 2nd annual Equinox - folk music, storytelling, and dance - Festival. It's a fine mix of local and national talent, with performances, participatory dance, workshops and jamming. And this year looks to be a bit cooler than last year's sweltering temps. :-) Yours truly will be leading a slot of contra dancing on Saturday and square dancing on Sunday. Saturday night will have an Irish Concert with The Mulcahy Family and Mick Molony at Throop Church in Pasadena, and an old-time square dance/concert with Triple Chicken Foot, Old Sledge and Thomas Maupin at HM157 in Lincoln Heights (west L.A.). |
