BS: Llanfair returns

Hello, again. I haven't been able to post here for a very long time, but I'm looking forward to getting involved again. I'm older, fatter, a little bit disabled, and living alone after a traumatic marriage break up. Still singing, though, and buying and selling, wheeling and dealing on W elshpool market. Look forward to making contact with old friends.

I'll do a general breakdown of what happened, just to get it out of the way, 2008 April broke leg, complicated. June son moved in with 3 grandsons, wife had been hiding alcoholism, kids skinny and uncontrolled. 2 to school, third looked after by me. Sept fell and broke arm November Son and grandsons moved to house in the village. Dad in RAF
so had to work, Granny did childcare. Easter 2009 youngest to school. Leg still causing pain. 2010 diagnosis of arthritis in fracture site caused by diabetes. November, discovered that Jim, husband had been screwing the local bicycle for the past 10 years. Everyone knew except me,
Last week I moved into a lovely wooden bungalow next door to my son and grandsons with Monty, my border collie. In November I go to the orthopaedic hospital for an operation on my leg so that I can walk without pain.
I could write a whole album of blues songs about that little lot, couldn't I?
Hopefully, I'm out the other side now, and looking forward to a new life.

Welcome back! I, too, have just returned after an extended absence. Some of it is the same old comfortable 'cat, and some is different and challenging (also refreshing)... still feels like home.

Hi Bron.

It was just great to meet you again despite the brief time we had. It was fate. I told Mrs Viking all day I would meet you. We walked up the village the night before, past the village hall, past the pub etc. Happy memories. We parked where John9 of Hull fame slipped into the river. We didn't want to intrude with your visitors and set off for Llangollen in the evening.

PS did anyone buy that lovely guitar?

Love n peace. Eric n Dawn

So glad you've got Monty still. Sounds as though you've come through a frightful few years and are on the upswing, now. And, I second that "you're amongst supportive friends." We're happy to help in whatever way possible.

ATB,

kat

Hello Noreen. Seems such a long time ago, was always so much fun getting us all together. Times change, people move on. But it was great to see Bron again.

Eric, I'm so sorry I didn't get time to spend with you, my sister was on a mission to stop me doing anything silly, and I had to concentrate on her to avoid being totally undermined. I would have loved to have a long chat.
Noreen, how's it going?

Dick and 'Spaw and Katlaughing, how's life across the pond? I think we're about to have some of your super-stormy weather this week.

Everyone else, thank you so much for your lovely good wishes. My confidence has taken a fair old bashing recently, but so many good vibes have warmed my heart.
Onwards and upwards, Bron.
