Many years later, in the mid 1970s, I was drinking with some British soldiers in a bar in Belize City when they burst out in song. One of the songs they sang was the very song in question. In the midst of the merrymaking, I omitted to find out the name of this really delightful song. I shall be very grateful if someone out there will be good enough to help me with the true name of this song and some or all of its lyrics. |

GUEST Bardford, Paul Burke and Jeri. Amongst you, you have made my day. This is the song that has been on my mind for ever so long. It evokes a wealth of nostalgic recollections. God bless each one of you. |

I read the poster's question and thought it sounded like a Creole or other language, but it WAS vaguely familiar. Now I see what it really is, I feel a bit of a fool! Big smile! |
