The inspiration for the unique treatment stemmed from noticing that the brain itself seemed to mimic diabetes like symptoms among Alzhiemers patients. The treatment is simply the dispersal of aerosolized insulin in gas form sprayed directly into the brain with a specialized needle through the nose and into the base of the brain.
