What is your favorite song from the latest June Tabor/ Oysterband collaboration?

The whole album. Having seen a review by an Oysterband fan I was not sure what to expect - "when did Oysterband become June Tabors backing band".
The album is listed as June Tabor with Oysterband & what a lovely suprise, brilliantly produced album every track a favorite & I usually cannot stand June Tabor.

This album sounds a bit like a folk version of a U2 cd with a better singer. And,I like all of June's work.

Not heard the full album yet, but I hope it's better than that ...

"Bonny Bunch Of Roses" is as much of a powerhouse of a "folk" song as I've ever heard.

Does anyone know of a web-site that details UK folk album sales?

Every song has 'hit' written into it.

*If* the songs have to be accompanied at all they are very nicely done. But I would have liked her to sing Fountains Flowing or The Leaves of Life unaccompanied. That would have been much more interesting.

Mike Harding included "If My Love Leaves Me" in his show this week.

I had almost forgotten that JneTabor could sing anything except in what has become her dirgey trademark.

Apart from Shiloh, it is altogether a cracking album

It's Bloody Brilliant!!!!

I got home, put it on this afternoon and typed out my feelings on every track, on my FB page, because that's how it affected me.

'Bonny Bunch of Roses' is superb, but then *every* track is pretty wonderful. It just *all* works SO well...

June Tabor and John Jones talking about 'Ragged Kingdom'

John and June have voices that blend together *so* well. The cover is a piece of art on its own, with beautiful photos by Judith Burrows.

Just putting it on again now...and 'Bonny Bunches of Roses' is pounding its fantastic rhythm out..................

Heck, I bet even Ol' Bony himself would be moving his body to this one!    :0)

Perhaps "Bonny...." could make it on the charts as a crossover hit if it were marketed as such?June Tabor, a superstar? But then,I've always wanted to hear her duet with Patti Smith on "People Have The Power".

It's a very fine album (have the Oysters ever made a bad one?) - difficult to choose a favourite but I think it has to be Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Of any folk-rock release of memory,I believe that this cd could be a cross-over success.Every song has a commercial hit potential.Epic!
