IreneM is visiting and Jacqui and I thought it might be nice to revive the song circle evening.
Arrive after 7PM
Light refreshments, wine, beer and whatever comes in the door.
Music until...
Breakfast for anyone staying over until Sunday.
Who's in?

Strewth.
Should be entertaining, then.

Hmmm! We might be able to make this one. I get off work at 6 PM in Freeport and I think we're both free after that. I could use some song-singery--my pipes are rusty, and ceilidh season is ramping up!

By all means.

Come, fill the cup, and in the fire of spring
The winter garment of repentance fling:
The bird of time has but a little way to fly-
An LO! the bird is on the wing.

Hard to believe that Omar Khayyam used LO for Laugh Out. A man before his time.

Are the eggs for breakfast, or is there more to this "own risk" than meets the eye?

Irene arrived last night a little the worse for wear. A pair of twin toddlers entertained her through the entire flight.
She seemed well rested this morning. Kitties enjoyed the company.
See you all tomorrow around 7PM. Thanks Charlie. There will be some cheeses, chips, vegetables with dip. I think we'll be fine.

Irene - thermostat is on the wall outside the bathroom. Adjust at will. It was cold this morning. M.

I feel like death taking a crap, but I didn't get it at the Getaway, had it to start with. Not a cold, it's a sinus thing.

I started getting symptoms before the Portsmouth Sea Music fest. I took Claritin, and 'it' went away. I ran out of Claritin and it came back. I bought some more and I've been taking it for 3 days now, and things seem to be improving... just not fast enough.

Kendall, at least you made it out. It looks like we lost everybody else. Of course, they could all be having fun.

Sinsull-

Thanks for hosting this gathering. We all had a lot of fun.

We took Barrie M. out in the boat today and it was beautiful on the water. Saw a handsome Eagle perched above the bank of the Sasanoa River. And then we cruised over to Five Islands and feasted on lobsters. Life couldn't be better.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Yes indeed, thank you for singaround, Sinsull.
Temperature in the high 80's on Sunday.

Gee, lobster is so much more diner friendly than crab!
Thanks for the boat ride and lobster, Charley and Judy.

I hope they like gummy bears in Keene too. I gotta exchange the weight for Mudcat CDs to go to the UK.

It was so good to have a song circle again. Everyone was in good form - new songs and old were sung and we now have a new and very welcome friend in Irene who, as Mary said, has a lovely voice. We have told her to come back any time.

She's off on her travels again today, having spent a rather hectic couple of days in South Portland. We went to the Press Room Friday night, left early as she was still recovering from her flight the day before. Hopefully she will come back again at some time.

At any other time the gummy bears, Churchill fruit gums and Jacqui's wine gums would be pure joy. HOWEVER I joined Weight Watchers at work and now my dilemma is to pace myself or just eat myself sick on my favorite candy and live with it.
heh heh
Three guesses.

I had fun, not just on Saturday night, but the whole visit. And I still haven't a clue where I was staying (geography-wise). Yes, I know I was in South Portland, but other than that......
Yes, I will come back.

Just looked out the back window to see a flock of wild turkeys wandering around my backyard. Was it you who told me they were there two weeks ago?
Wish you could have been here last night, Irene. Great music. Good company. Even Kendall performed.

I opened the blind on Saturday morning to see turkeys in the front yard next door to you.
Then when we got back to Jacqui and Kendall's, there were more in the yard. This time I got some photos.
I'll just have to re-locate won't I?
Better go out for some lottery tickets then....
Dilemma. Do I buy lottery tickets or save the money towards my next bail-out of Aer Lingus?

Love to all with four feet as well as two.

A flock of cardinals as well as a herd of turkeys scampering around with the squirrels and blue jays. I should sell tickets.
Was Aer Lingus the company that taped the cockpit window in place and had to turn around when it started to fall out? Or was that Ryanair?
How about the QE II?

Sounds like Ruin-air to me.
Years ago, Aer Linctus had a service from East Midlands Airport to Dublin. I seem to recall one of them landing in a farmer's field at Wilson instead of at EMA. Gods know how they got it out.
The QEll was last seen headed for Dubai, just as Dubai's economy keeled over. Now.....I recall QEll running aground in Nantucket Sound. There must be a song in that somewhere?
Mary, did you deflate just then?
