07 Oct 11 - 07:49 AM (#3235274) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: SINSULL Irene arrived last night a little the worse for wear. A pair of twin toddlers entertained her through the entire flight. She seemed well rested this morning. Kitties enjoyed the company. See you all tomorrow around 7PM. Thanks Charlie. 09 Oct 11 - 01:10 PM (#3236274) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Jeri Did anyone survive? I'm not convinced this ISN'T a cold. |
09 Oct 11 - 02:57 PM (#3236318) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: kendall I feel like death taking a crap, but I didn't get it at the Getaway, had it to start with. Not a cold, it's a sinus thing. |
09 Oct 11 - 03:06 PM (#3236325) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Jeri I started getting symptoms before the Portsmouth Sea Music fest. I took Claritin, and 'it' went away. I ran out of Claritin and it came back. I bought some more and I've been taking it for 3 days now, and things seem to be improving... just not fast enough. Kendall, at least you made it out. It looks like we lost everybody else. Of course, they could all be having fun. |
09 Oct 11 - 03:26 PM (#3236333) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Charley Noble Sinsull- Thanks for hosting this gathering. We all had a lot of fun. We took Barrie M. out in the boat today and it was beautiful on the water. Saw a handsome Eagle perched above the bank of the Sasanoa River. And then we cruised over to Five Islands and feasted on lobsters. Life couldn't be better. Cheerily, Charley Noble |
09 Oct 11 - 03:49 PM (#3236347) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: bradfordian Yes indeed, thank you for singaround, Sinsull. Temperature in the high 80's on Sunday. Gee, lobster is so much more diner friendly than crab! Thanks for the boat ride and lobster, Charley and Judy. bradfordian |

09 Oct 11 - 06:01 PM (#3236391) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: bradfordian My cousin in Chicago took me to a gummy bear factory, and I sort of got carried away.......... I hope they like gummy bears in Keene too. I gotta exchange the weight for Mudcat CDs to go to the UK. bradfordian |
09 Oct 11 - 07:07 PM (#3236416) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: jacqui.c It was so good to have a song circle again. Everyone was in good form - new songs and old were sung and we now have a new and very welcome friend in Irene who, as Mary said, has a lovely voice. We have told her to come back any time. She's off on her travels again today, having spent a rather hectic couple of days in South Portland. We went to the Press Room Friday night, left early as she was still recovering from her flight the day before. Hopefully she will come back again at some time. |
09 Oct 11 - 10:22 PM (#3236494) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: SINSULL At any other time the gummy bears, Churchill fruit gums and Jacqui's wine gums would be pure joy. HOWEVER I joined Weight Watchers at work and now my dilemma is to pace myself or just eat myself sick on my favorite candy and live with it. heh heh Three guesses. |
10 Oct 11 - 09:17 AM (#3236670) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: kendall Sins, I wonder how many of those passengers on the Titanic passed up dessert because they were trying to cut down? |
10 Oct 11 - 03:06 PM (#3236904) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: ranger1 What Kendall said. Life is uncertain, eat desset first. Either that or give me the gummi bears. |
10 Oct 11 - 08:21 PM (#3237053) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Charley Noble It was sad (so sad) when the desert went down... Charley Noble |
23 Oct 11 - 08:06 AM (#3243456) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Irene M Thanks folks. I had fun, not just on Saturday night, but the whole visit. And I still haven't a clue where I was staying (geography-wise). Yes, I know I was in South Portland, but other than that...... Yes, I will come back. Irene |
23 Oct 11 - 12:16 PM (#3243551) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: jacqui.c Good - we want you back. We enjoyed your company a lot. I hope that the rest of your stay was good. |
23 Oct 11 - 01:38 PM (#3243577) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Irene M Yes it was, thank you. Right up to spotting the twins in the departure lounge! At least I shared my pain with a cabin full of would-be nappers! |
23 Oct 11 - 04:39 PM (#3243640) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: SINSULL Just looked out the back window to see a flock of wild turkeys wandering around my backyard. Was it you who told me they were there two weeks ago? Wish you could have been here last night, Irene. Great music. Good company. Even Kendall performed. SINS |
25 Oct 11 - 01:12 PM (#3244605) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Irene M I opened the blind on Saturday morning to see turkeys in the front yard next door to you. Then when we got back to Jacqui and Kendall's, there were more in the yard. This time I got some photos. I'll just have to re-locate won't I? Better go out for some lottery tickets then.... Dilemma. Do I buy lottery tickets or save the money towards my next bail-out of Aer Lingus? Love to all with four feet as well as two. |
25 Oct 11 - 02:16 PM (#3244638) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: SINSULL A flock of cardinals as well as a herd of turkeys scampering around with the squirrels and blue jays. I should sell tickets. Was Aer Lingus the company that taped the cockpit window in place and had to turn around when it started to fall out? Or was that Ryanair? How about the QE II? |
25 Oct 11 - 02:56 PM (#3244661) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: kendall Mary, I don't perform, I entertain, or share. Jacqui, don't say it. |
25 Oct 11 - 05:18 PM (#3244731) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: ChanteyLass Ryanair used tape on the window. |

26 Oct 11 - 02:39 PM (#3245174) Subject: RE: South Portland, ME Song Circle 10/8 From: Irene M Sounds like Ruin-air to me. Years ago, Aer Linctus had a service from East Midlands Airport to Dublin. I seem to recall one of them landing in a farmer's field at Wilson instead of at EMA. Gods know how they got it out. The QEll was last seen headed for Dubai, just as Dubai's economy keeled over. Now.....I recall QEll running aground in Nantucket Sound. There must be a song in that somewhere? Mary, did you deflate just then? |
