Hi,

I have moved to Cardiff from Glasgow and having settled in to some degree am now looking to follow up my interest in folk music Irish/Scottish.

Any Mudcatters in Cardiff with similar interests ?

Sean.

I'd be interested to know how many Mudcatters live in Wales. I am new to Mudcat and apart from yourself, I am only aware of Llanfair who lives in Mid Wales (and I think lives in Llanfair something - not the famous PG though) and myself who lives in Llandudno in the North.

I don't think there is anyone else living here, but there are some welsh mudcatters. It's Llanfair Caereinion, just outside Welshpool where I live, and on Saturday, a load of folkies are going to board a narrowboat and sail away, singing. (not that you can sail far on the Montgomery canal!!!!!) But then we're a long way from Llandudno, and Caerdydd. Hwyl, Bron.

Jon, may I enlist your help? I'm not living in Wales, but I used to live in Swansea fifteen years ago, and had a friend there. He now lives in Llandudno (I think), but I've lost his phone number. The phone book doesn't help, for obvious reasons. Do you happen to be able to find out the Revd. Hywel Davies' (Methodist, I believe) phone number? That would be great!
Sorry about this blatant misuse of Mudcat resources for personal gain. And Jon - please don't go out of your way to solve this for me. He'll ring me again next year or so, I'm sure. Thanks a lot anyway! - Susanne

Hei Sean

I`m living close to Stavanger and I knew a girl from these parts who was a nice folk/blues-singer. Her name is Heidi Friis and she is now living in Cardiff. If you should happen to know her, give her my regards and tell her about the 30th ann. of the Folkclub in Stavanger this weekend.

I live in Dorset but travel through Cardiff quite a lot as the re-enactment group I belong to {the Royal Welch Fuzileers} is based in Cardiff and performs a lot in South Wales.
