Started last night and will run for the next week. Many different events at many different venues. If you look in the video gallery you will find an interseting discussion between Joella Foulds and JP Cormier.

Beausoleil avec Michael Doucet are in the list of performers. Great stuff! (Went on a bit of a YouTube binge looking for this!)

I saw Michael Doucet in Edmonton a couple of years ago when he appeared here with the Savoy/Doucet Cajun Band. I'll be seeing Zachary Richard in Sherwood Park in a couple of weeks. Beausoleil is on my bucket list. I wish I was back home in CB for the concert in D'Escousse ... mere kilometres from where I grew up. In the meantime, I'll listening to their CDs. If you're in Cape Breton and have the opportunity, go see them.

You can watch the closing show featuring The Barra MacNeils streamed live tonight on the net at 7:30PM ADT. (6:30PM EDT , 11:30PM Greenwich). I will miss it myself because I will be playing somewhere else.

Sandy, did you get to see the Guitar Summit ?

It's 11 years since I saw Tony McManus wow the audience at the Guityar Summit ( you were there too) he wasn't there this year, but the amazing JP Cormier was playing that night as well, and he was playing this year too.

No Murray, I didn't get there this year. I wasn't certain that I would be there and tickets sold out early. The only main concert I was at was the Gaelic one in Glendale. I have been to several of the peripheral jam sessions.
