It's nearly that time of year again. Wassail Weekend is 17th 18th December. Also dont forget the Christmas party, with Pig's Ear and Ruff'n'Reddy on Tuesday 13th December at 8.30

Damn... can't make both events. See you Saturday, if it doesn't blizzard again. What time does it start on Saturday?

Saturday will be the usual time I believe, so 13:00 hrs onward, and unless it's unseasonably warm, it'll be inside. Should I grow my beard a bit and turn into Santa - or should I leave that to Richard Bridge?

I am not sufficiently jolly to be Santa. Bah! Humbug!

Particularly when I have just ploughed through a lot of terminological inaxactitudes from Sweeney O'Pibroch

Richard, you could be Santa with an AK47 and kill less people that you do in song

NOT "LESS": "FEWER".

If the subject matter is amorphous, like salt or sugar, then one may speak of "less salt" or "less sugar".

If each component of the subject matter is individual (as people are) then the right word is "fewer".

BAH!!!!!!

Forget the miserable git competition, be there on the 17th/18th December and you can be as miserable as you like, as long as you sing
