Obit: Hertford Tony Crowley (Nov 2011)

The most loved and popular performer hereabouts.
Song writer and talented multi-instrumentalist, and every number full of his unique fun and wit.
The one string phono fiddle silent for ever, aaaaand we'll never hear the banjo play again.

I think he only played seriously when accompanying someone else.
Hard to accept that he is now gone.
Thoughts and prayers for Teresa please.
The service will be at the Catholic church at 10.30 10 AM on Friday.
keith.

Thats very sad news. He always seemed to hide his light under a bushel but he was very talented and always encouraging to other people including myself, at sessions.

I remember him telling me he had once been a guest on the Rainbow and Jim'll Fix it television shows and found this

I will try to make it on Friday. RIP Tony
