Murdoch, died when Murdoch was twelve, but he returns to life for us in these vivid remembrances. Murdoch writes with simple grace, combining the hilarious, the deeply heartfelt, and occasionally the painful, with no dissonance. I may not be able to claim complete objectivity, since I've been priviliged to spend just enough time with the author to consider him a valued friend, but I sincerely recommend this as a highly enjoyable, and more than that very worthwhile, read for just about anyone. The book is available here in various electronic download formats. |

The Epub format can be read by several ebook readers that can be had by free download. The one recommended and to which a link is given at the Amaranth site is from Adobe. I have downloaded this reader and it is very good and easy to use, it enables you to read books on your computer or to print them out if you like. |

I downloaded the Adobe e-reader, and am savoring/savouring/enjoying every sentence. I will slip it into my TL's stack of books-in-progress so I can anticipate hearing his laughter ring throughout the yurt. Yes, it needs to be published in paper form; something printed on quality paper to hold and show and enjoy long after the digital form is outdated. I'd also like to hear it in The Voice of The Author. Perhaps a story or two could be read during gigs? They'd be great for radio interviews. For the time being, I'll print my own copy as I can afford the ink, a story or two at a time. Thank you for the stories, the mental illustrations, and the laughter, friend TB, (and thanks to Mark of Amaranth Publishing for making it possible for us to read this wonderful collection.)
