Especially since virtually all Chekov's people are dreamers who are slowly failing to wrestle free from mediocrity because they are such dreamers. While you may be right about dreamers not moving off dead center, I shudder to think where the world would be without those dreamers who did act upon their dreams, including Max! Here's a rebuttal of sorts:
Even in dreams good works are not wasted. And, perhaps you'd like this one better, which I know you know,
