Man, the "turkey shoot" made me want to "burn one"... Yezzir... Tell you what, the farm boy's audition for the remake of "Deliverance" was a hoot...

True Story...

Back in 1969 or '70 this well known convicted drug dealer was going to get married and this being 1969 or '70 and all of his friends being, ahhhhh, fellow stoners he figured why not have a midnight wedding at his farm outside of Richmond... Of course that meant three rock bands, tons of food, lots of hippies and, ahhhhh, the...

...vice squad!?!?!?... Yikes...

Well, word got out that the cops would be there so he just up and invited them...

Here's the rub... How to get everyone all toasted without folks walking around smoking joints and getting busted... So lots of dishes were well spiked and folks kinda let each other know what was in what...

Of course the vice squad folks weren't in on that little secret but seeing as they were there it would have been rude to not allow them to partake in whatever they wanted...

One bowl of chili = I hit of Mr. Natural...

Well, the last thing I remember was about 2:00 in the morning and seeing their unmarked cruiser ***attempting*** to drive down a perfectly straight long farm driveway and, I donno, maybe a deer jumped out in the front of them (not...lol) and the cruiser headed off to the right and ended up in a drainage ditch/creek and had to be towed out...

My, my, my... The 60's was fun...

B;~)

Napalmed? I bet you baked it and relied on that little plastic pop-up "thermometer" in the bird, right?

Oh, the game. . . well, you can have the same result if you rely on those stupid little timers. Ask me know I know . . .

I never used any kinda timer except my eyeball... that there is a 2h45m bird at 375. Perfect every time. Who uses a pop-up rig or a thermometer?... do they work well? Should I consider using such? Of course, even if I did, I would still eyeball it, just to be safe.

Ahh I get it.   SRS is reminding me to consider the possible source. Not had anything like that from him before. Poor lonely sod must be really desperate.
