24 Nov 11 - 12:51 PM (#3262757) Subject: BS: How Time Flies When You're Mudcatting! From: katlaughing I figured Thanksgiving day over here in the US might be a good time to post this thread suggested by my Rog. We were talking about how many years I've been Mudcatting. I was astonished to realize that as of this December I will have been here 13 years. I know we've had other threads about how long each of us has been here, and I know there are others who've been here longer than I, but today I'd like to make note of it and let you all know how very grateful I am to be a part of Mudcat. I give thanks for Mudcat and for all of you. May we all have many, many more years together. As Rog first said, "How time flies when you're Mudcatting!" And, just to sign off with something new I've learned on Mudcat, Hooroo/ooroo! kat |

From: Stilly River Sage How many times do you find yourself starting or introducing a fact into a conversation based upon the opening words "I read at Mudcat" - then perhaps have to explain what Mudcat is? Happens all of the time here. Has for years. SRS |

It was so warm and sunny yesterday (14C !!!) and we spent some time doing the garden, then going to the supermarket. But I opened up my laptop the minute we got home and got immersed in Mudcat. It seemed to be sunny over most of the UK, and we should all have been outside, having a walk, or sitting in the sun, not bashing away at our keyboards. |

Programming in VBA &/or JavaScript is fraught, but it's the resultant app it creates that is the joy. I have just done two on an Android (no connection, just local files) and they are a boon when I am walking around looking for OS Bench Marks. Photoshopped maps overlaid with locations & the other, when no prep has been done, for any location in England Scotland and Wales. NI is done for the whole of the island from Dublin, and no downloadable data available. Now, all that programming eats up time ................. and the temper. |
