Lots of the fine singers & musicians who have been in and around the shops of Lewes will join us for this rather special evening.

Dec 8th * £6.00 * NOEL DUMBRELL
The lovely voice and harmonica playing of this great character who grew up in the village of Ashurst give us an insight into old Sussex.

Noel tells us that he will be bringing his grandson, George, with him. He is developing into a really considerable banjo player

Will be a great evening - wish we could be there. Noel has such a wonderful repertoire of songs and stories. I love hearing his stories of farming life around Ashurst and the old steam threshing machines.   Just a few too many miles for us to travel ....

Noel is a fine piece of old Sussex. One of the best things I have heard in years is his playing of Carrickfergus on the harmonica. He doesn't allow the tune to wallow in self-pity and gives it 'a brushing and combing it'll never forget', to quote one of Jim Ward' monologues.

Just wondering if Noel is still his shows?
