From: My guru always said I agree Michael, but I wonder if it needs more publicity than just a thread that Catters can click on if they're interested in the title. I'm certain that there are lots of people using the Mudcat that haven't heard of this project and have no idea what the thread title refers to. Many wouldn't have the time (especially at this time of year) to check each thread for stuff that's of interest to them. And, of course, times are hard for us all. I know that I've cut all my spending to the bone and am hoping that my job doesn't get swallowed up in the recession. Many others are in the same boat I know. 'Shameful' is perhaps, a little harsh, I think. Perhaps Max could put up an advert in the page header? Something snappy? |

I don't celebrate Christmas but this is a wonderful treat. It came today and I've listened to most of Stone so far. In a few minutes I'll be back in the office listening to some more. It is GREAT. Some of the voices I had not heard before and others are familiar and dear. All of them are wonderful. What a treat. I can't imagine anything better to spend 60 bucks on. Come on, folks! |

There are so many outstanding cuts. Most of them are vocals but some of them are instrumentals that had me boogeying at my desk. Good thing I work alone. :) After I hear them all once I'll start all over again. They will keep me busy for a long time. There is no way to point to a favorite- but several of them have stayed in my head, like Bobert's Buttermilk, Dan Schatz's Promise of Sowing and olddude's Wayfaring Stranger. Dan O'Connell presents that old song in a hauntingly simple way. |
